West Dean Gardens Chilli Fiesta, Saturday August 5th 2006

Back to August Diary

This was the second year I“ve gone, and this time made a concerted effort to get more chilli photos but there were too many folk trying to get in the greenhouses so I only got a few. Ended up taking three small movies of the chillies in the display area as it was the best way of getting them all. Not much good for putting up here though.

It started at 10.30am (no admission before then) but they could have taken admission fees (£6.50 adult, £6 over 60, £2.50 child, £1 off with each Waitrose card) in advance as the queue at 10.30 was massive and very slow to go down. Took us 30 minutes to get in. It quickly got even more crowded than last year, which was saying something. Here“s the photos I took of the chillies, aubergines and walled kitchen garden. As usual, click on a small pic to see a larger one.
